Ignorance is bliss

So I generally try to stay out of political discussions and don't consider myself as either a conservative or liberal.  I get tired of hearing Republicans bashing Democrats, the Tea Party saying that we don't follow the constitution (although I find it hilarious when they dress up like pilgrims) , Sara Pallin inventing new words (refudiate?????), Glen Beck crying, Rush Limbaugh being racist, Al Sharpton thinking everyone else along with Rush is racist etc.  Maybe that's why I usually listen to sports radio for entertainment like this.  But yesterday as I was reading Newsweek there was an article about the proposed Mosque a few blocks from ground zero and how Islamophobia is creeping across the country I saw a quote that struck me pretty hard.  I don't remember it word for word but it basically said that along with all the rights we enjoy in the US, we also have the right to be ignorant.  This right is displayed everyday across the country in various forms whether it's a church planning a Koran burning on 9/11 or the media twisting facts to elaborate on a story (this is one of the funniest things I've ever seen).  It's pretty sad to realize how much influence people with not so inspiring agenda's have in the US.  Well, I would hope that most people are able to make their own opinions, right or left it doesn't matter to me.  Just know why you believe what you believe and do what you do.

On a happier note, this video at the end sure makes me smile.  If you watched my Whistler video (one post down) you'll probably recognize all these jumps.  And be sure to check out the new video of the week, I guarantee you'll be laughing.
