When Worlds Collide

I'm sure that anyone who's been in college has had the experience of having a professor or teacher who can hardly speak English. I remember hearing one of my brother's professors pronounce PDE's and peeediah, and one of my Economics professors who loved using pizza as an example called it picha. It took me forever to figure out what he was saying. In my corporate finance class though there is a new phenomenon which is quite entertaining to watch. My professor is Vietnamese and still struggles quite a big with his English, making him very difficult to understand. The thing that is so entertaining is watching him try to answer questions that the Russian student (who speaks very good English but with a very strong accent) asks him. She can't understand him and he can't understand her so they go back and forth for a while until one pretends to understand what the other is saying or they give up.

So in the last month spring semester ended, I've been to Zions, Powell and Moab and am back in school. In Zion's we hiked the Subway which was awesome. We had to swim through some freezing cold water but it was definitely worth it. After doing the subway Jon and I biked down to Powell to meet up with our friends. We spent the rest of the week there just hanging out with about 50 other people eating sand and bathing in the rain.
